So...about that show I'm directing....

Well, it turns out that I am no longer directing Stephen Karam's Speech & Debate for the first show of the Domino Players season. I found out several weeks ago that there was a problem with receiving the rights to that show...so I am NOW directing Baby With the Bathwater by Christopher Durang. However, the show must go on!

 

Baby With the Bathwater is a comedy about adolescence and parenting. I think the show really speaks to our audience, which is students, because it is rather absurd with its zany dialogue and hilarious stage directions. 

 

My cast spent the entire summer memorizing their lines for the first show, so changing shows with little time to prepare the new one was very difficult. Yet, my cast has been working very hard to get things done ASAP. The show is still opening September 15th, and so far we are in really good shape. The show is also an experience event for those freshman/upperclassmen who still need them. AND the Domino Players will be handing out "coupons" for any night of the show, in which you can see it for only $3.00 instead of $5.00 (which is still really cheap). So...if you're interested, PLEASE come and see the show! I promise it will be an awesome time!
