Albright College

So my weekend was hectic but a lot of fun at the same time.

School is school, end of the semester hectic run is kicking in. Just going to have to work through it.

My weekend was very fun and eventful though. On Friday, I went to a Reading Phillies game with the Lion Diplomats, one of the student organizations I am involved in. The game was a lot of fun. The weather was cool, and I got to see two Philadelphia Phillies pitchers, Joe Blanton and Brad Lidge, pitch for Reading because they were on rehab for injuries. The Phillies ended up losing but I had a fun time at the game and it was good to get off of campus for a few hours.

On Saturday I went to a formal sponsored by one of the sororities on campus, Phi Mu. That was a lot of fun, as formals always are. We didn't have to travel far to the location which was nice and I had a lot of fun just dancing and hanging out with a lot of friends.

Sunday was the real busy one. In the morning we had an open house! I gave a tour, and while I was on tour I remembered that one of my fellow tour guides had a birthday the previous day. For those of you who do not know, we have a tradition at Albright, when it is someone's birthday we throw them into our on-campus pond. Finding out that she did not get ponded, I decided that I would pond her while both her and I were on tour. It was awesome. I love ponding people, it's just a ton of fun. She was a good sport about it too, so that was fun for a lot of the prospective students to see.

Then I had to leave the open house early because of our Oozeball tournament. This tournament is sponsored by the Lion Diplomats, and since I am the President I had to make sure everything was running smoothly. We had some bumps in the road but everything went really well. Oozeball is just a volleyball tournament...in the mud, therefore it is a lot more fun. We had 16 teams play in the tournament and I was the ref for all of the games. By the end of the day I had lost my voice. All of the teams seemed to have a lot of fun though. Even after teams lost, they would just tackle each other into the mud, so everything was fine after that. Oozeball is an awesome event because we have lunch at the tournament so we probably had a fourth of the campus at the event throughout the day, which is amazing. Oozeball is another one of those great traditions at Albright that everyone had to either participate in or at least watch, because it is a ton of fun.

Ok back to work now.
