Albright College

So, on your senior year, you anticipate Homecoming! It's so exciting, and you are so thrilled to get intolved and have an awesome time with friends. Unfortunately, that is not quite how my senior year homecoming played out, BUT, it was still awesome!!!!

Let me explain. I am part of the Student PSEA which is an organization for all of the teachers in PA and we have a student program. From our student conference last year, I took a position as Regionl President for the Eastern region (where Albright is located). In doing so, I have to attend certain "meetings" during the year to plan for this year's conference and talk about other issues relating to PSEA. Just so happens that this last weekend was also the weekend for one of these meetings -- BOO, I know. But, in the end it all worked out. Between Friday night and Saturday morning I sat through countless hours of meetings (which is tons of fun, you know) and we basically set up a great schedule for this year's SPSEA conference which will be held here in Reading the second weekend of April! I am super excited as we are anticipating having some of our Education professors here at Albright be presenters for sessions, too!

So, back to homecoming. I did make it back in time to see the football game! Woohooo! I think I missed a few minutes at the beginning, but was there in time to see our awesome Albright football team score their first touchdown. Albright, of course, WON, which made it even better! And, at halftime, we always crown our king and queen. This year, Mallory Olsheski (<3 my other half of Debi -- long story!) and Brian Benusa were given this honor by the student body. Both are outstanding students here with huge hearts! I am so happy for them, and I know they are excited! Both of them are tour guides -- so, if you've been on campus, you just might have had them be yours!

Well, my roommate should be returning soon, and we are going to take a nice walk in this brisk fall weather. We have mums on our patio and two little pumpkins with them. We have also made little foam ghosts and pumpking things to hang around our apartment for the fall. Maybe there will be a picture soon? Probably! Until next time!
