So I know it's been a while since my last post, but it's because I've been so busy taking advantage of all Albright has to offer! Let me clue you in...
If I had to describe how Albright College separates itself from any other school, I would have to discuss our culture of experiential learning here at school. Not only will you be receiving a liberal arts education, but you'll have amazing opportunities that supplement your classroom knowledge with real-world, hands-on experiences. Over the past couple of months I've been planning my second trip abroad; this time to Australia! I'll be there all summer (be jealous) and will have the opportunity to intern for any number of companies in the west coast city of Perth. But that's not all!
My best friend and fraternity brother, Chris Dampf, and I have been hard at work creating an initiative to establish a fund for teachers of the neighboring Reading School District focused explicitly on experiential learning. It's a great opportunity for us to engage in community service and raise money so that younger students can enjoy the same kind of hands-on learning that we've been experiencing here at Albright. We're going to need all of the volunteers and help we can get so feel free to jump in and join us if you like!
If you're sitting here thinking that sounds like a lot of work, trust me, it is. But I wouldn't trade any of it for anything. I've never felt more prepared for the real world than I do now, spending so much time engaging in experiential learning opportunities.
So please, take my advice. Experience Albright.
