Albright College

So each year, I think it is usually the second week in April, there is an edible book contest through our library and libraries around the U.S. I believe.  Our library offers prizes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place groups or individuals who creat an edible book.  My friend Katie did it last year and thought we neded a group, and put my name on it too, so I "won", but I did not do all the leg work.  So this year, when I got an e-mail from a fellow RA and Ambassador who said we should sign-up, I texted Katie and got to thinking!  Little kid books usually work best because they are nice and simple.  Someone always does The Hungry Caterpillar, so we did not want to do that.  We thought of many ideas like Twilight, The Hunger Games, Dr. Seuss books, and more, but nothing we could agree on until I said Chrysanthemum.  I read the book over the summer with the kids I babysat for, and I really liked it.  It is about a mouse named Chrysanthemum, but she gets made fun of and hates her name until her parents explain that it is beautiful just like her and just like the flower!  I can't wait to see how it looks.  Maybe I will even upload a picture once the product is finished tomorrow before the contest on Wednesday.  Wish me luck!
