This past week was definitely one of my busiest weeks of the semester! This week was allocations week, which requires many office hours and a lot of communication/keeping tabs on my student organizations that I serve as the SGA liaison for. Every semester, the Student Government Association decides how funds will be divided among student organizations and student body activities. Last night was the decisions meeting, which took over four hours, and today we meet with all the organizations leaders to let them know what funds we allocated to them. This weekend was also trustee weekend. I was invited to eat with the trustees for both lunch and dinner on Friday. I also was able to attend the Trustee Student Affairs committee meeting. The trustees are awesome!! They all have such a dedication to the students and a love for this college. It is a delight to talk to them and I hope to continue to develop my relationship with them. They love to hear from students so I was excited to converse with them. This week was also my last full week of swimming! Which means that MACs is less than one week away!! Both teams are really excited and we are going to swim incredibly fast. Taper is in full effect, which means I get bursts of energy and I’m not allowed to do anything but sit and rest. It will all be worth it next week though when we are jumping in the pool at the CYC in celebration of our championship! Follow our results this weekend on the athletic site, we compete Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. GO LIONS!
