And so starts August

I know I am way overdue on MY posting, so I figure I better get on this, and guess what?! I actually have some exciting things to talk about! WOOOHOOO!!!!! :) (My life always seems boring to me, so it's awesome when I have something fun to talk about!)

Well, this last weekend has literally been a whirlwind of events for me! Friday was the last day at my job as teacher's aide for the summer. That was kind of sad, but it was an awesome time as we did a scavenger hunt with the kids. We separated our class of 6 into 3 groups and each of us took a set out to hunt for the clues. The kids had an awesome time with it, and we had a little pizza party at the end. We made little 'Beach cups' with them at the end of the day. We're talking similar to "Dirt" cups if you've ever had them but with vanilla oreos, vanilla pudding, and some Swedish Fish SEA CREATURES (my favorite!!!). So, anyway, the school day was thrilling and then it got better because after school was over, I left for a journey to New Jersey where I would attend my cousin's wedding rehearsal and then wedding on Saturday. But, as always, there is a good story there...

There was a possible tornado where we were for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner Friday night... haha, typical, and just my luck. Best part was, I was driving during it all in this crazy downpour and wind and stuff. I received a text from my Mom alerting me to the situation (mind you, she was still in PA, too). Oh well, it was interesting, but the rehearsal went absolutely amazing and then the wedding was a beautiful event. Weather was perfect and the reception was on the water, so it was EXCELLENT! Lots of dancing and good times were had by everyone, and, in light of the recent (sad) events in our family, it was really nice.

So, that was my excitement for the weekend. Now it's back to a rather mundane life of hanging around the house and running errands and getting 'stuff' ready to go back to Albright. I'm getting pretty excited to return to the 'Bright! It will be fun to be reunited with roommates and friends (and, of course, classes....). Enjoy the rest of today --- the weather is awesommmeeee! :)
