Albright in the Summer

Hello!
It is July 1st, summer is in full swing! It is hot (when it is not raining) and I have been to more outdoor sporting events then I ever thought I would be interested in attending in my entire life. I am staying at Albright this summer working at the Summer Conferences Office, which handles all the camps that pass through in the summer. There are bunches of different types from music to sports to teambuilding camps.
Albright in the summer has a fewer number of students, only the summer classes, ACRE and research students, and the few who are staying at or around Albright to work. Luckily many of the few are my friends and we are having a blast. We have gone to Reading Phillies baseball games, the Berkshire Red Sox baseball games, we have hung out by the pond, gone to friends houses, made dinner, seen fireworks (I did not even have to wait for the 4th of July!), and worked. I met new people, did some new things, and ate new foods (and foods that were baked wrong. For the record don't make Amish friendship bread with too many eggs). Plus I get to hang out with these awesome people nearly 24/7. Not to mention the pull that Albright is to the students who did not end up staying over the summer, they keep coming back to visit! It is nice, being here but not having to go to classes; it allows a slower pace and much more sleep. Not to mention that the campus is beautiful with some flowering plants that I have not seen around campus before. Albright keeps surprising me.
