I finally got everything in and APPROVED!! It was a long process but well worth it. It all started last fall when I was just in talking with one of my favorite professors Dr. Jennings. We were just sitting around talking about something we discussed in class. I approached him then and said I was interested in doing an ACRE with him, he asked in what. It took some time for me to answer this question but about a month later after starting another one of his classes (Geographic Information Systems) I told him I wanted to look at Fracking and how it will affect us. So we worked on a more definitive hypothesis and came to the conclusion that we will Geospatialy Analyze Fracking locations and its social implications. That is a lot of fancy talk for using the software behind Google Maps to look at what types of people live in areas where Fracking is occurring.
After doing all of the paper work and some preliminary research we were approved! So I am really excited to start this all up in June.
