A Post Worth Reading - The Best Surprise of my Life!!!!

So I am finally home for what little is left of Albright's Spring Break. This year (just as last year) my men's a capella group (Mane Men) went on tour for 7 days. We sang at churches, high schools, and other college campuses over the length of our tour, and we were very lucky to visit the hometowns of the four seniors. (Go to youtube and search AlbrightManeMen to check out some of our videos!). The best part of the tour in my opinion came on Saturday night. I was so lucky to be given the opportunity to bring the group to my hometown and church in Abbottstown, PA. We arrived at the church in the early afternoon and I was extremely happy to see my parents. We rehearsed for a few hours, dressed, and went into the choir loft where we would sing 2 select pieces during our 5 PM service. While sitting in the loft, I was looking around the church as I usually do. I saw my entire family sitting to the left. As I kept looking, I noticed a woman walking in towards my family. I watched as she gave my mom a hug. I quickly grabbed the arm of my friend John next to me, and said "That looks like my Grandma! But it can't be! She is in Florida!" My grandparents live in Florida from January to May and from October - December. My heart began to beat faster and faster, but I knew I was just getting my hopes up. There was no way my Grandma had come the whole way from Florida and not told anyone! Then I noticed that my mother was crying as she hugged the woman. The woman turned around, and at that moment I had a clear view of who it was. MY GRANDMA! My heart beat so fast and I could not believe what I was seeing! After the service I ran downstairs to hug her. She told me that she had woke up that morning (in Florida) and told my Grandfather how much she wished she could come to our Mane Men concert that night. He looked at her and said "Can you be ready in 20 minutes?" She got ready, he drove her to the airport and she flew the whole way to Pennsylvania to surprise me and be at my concert! Now let me tell you there is no better Grandmother in the world! I was so happy to see her and so surprised my heart didn't slow down for hours! It was honestly the best surprise I have ever gotten!
