Don't get me wrong, I like to socialize. I actually live for it. If you have ever visited Albright (especially on a weekday during the lunch hours) you were probably exposed to the wonderful world of Albright's Campus Center. It's kind of like the student's living room (and don't worry it's ok to put your feet up on the coffee table!) Yesterday, my lab was postponed, so I had a free Thursday afternoon! What to do...what to do? I could have gone to the bank, ran some errands, worked on some homework. But nooooooooooooooooooo. I sat on the couches for THREE AND A HALF HOURS! And I'm not even mad about it! Everyone around me moved, groups changed, and new faces sat down to chat. I feel like it's not even possible to walk through the campus center without stopping and having a conversation! It's like that game you play at Best Buy! You know the one where you have to try to get to the back of the store without any of the employees saying hi or asking if you need help!? Well try to play that game in our campus center and I guarantee you will lose! But that's a good thing now that I think about it. Although the campus center is like the blackhole of my life, the place I never leave, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love to just relax, hang out, laugh (and chances are if you come here for a tour and you hear loud obnoxious talking and laughing, it's me) and talk with friends. So my advice for you? When you do come for a tour, ask your tour guide to just sit down with you on the couches. Relax, take in your surroundings, and maybe the campus center will become the blackhole of your life too! And don't worry, that's not a bad thing. I promise ;)
