Riots in Bangkok hit close to home

My good friend and fellow political news junkie Greg Pfeffer is currently studying abroad in Thailand. I have talked to him a few times since hes been gone but it's hard because he is about 12 hours ahead in time to the U.S. I was just talking to him today and he mention that he has to leave Bangkok and head for safer area since riots just broke out where he is staying and its no longer safe. Kickin' it old school

This weekend was full of memorable activities. The Open House was a great success, I got to sit on a student panel and answer questions for parents and prospective students. As I was leaving the open house to go back to my apartment I get a phone call from a friend, "Hey you wanna play some kickball?" My answer, YES! The City... again

So this morning i had classes from 8 am to 4:20 pm and work in between and now im back in New York City for fashion week! Tale of a fashion intern: Day 2

Nearly everyone was gone for the holidays at the office which meant that my job for that day was to sit at the receptionist desk and make sure all the calls and packages were dealt with. Finals week!

It it officially the start of finals week, beginning tomorrow at 8 am. to add to my stress of finals i also just had my 21st birthday on Thursday and an internship interview in NYC this past Tuesday!!! a lot has been going on the last two weeks and now that finals are literally hours away it makes me realize that it is my last fall semester at Albright :(. Senator Barack Obama has just been named the projected winner of the United States presidency!!!! I was so excited to have made my vote this morning. I finally understand Free Expression! well, atleast for now....

Free Expression- a class that all communications have to take before graduation. I have been dreading taking this class since last year. Accidental concert

McCarren Park- Brooklyn I took my little cousin to the park to play a little since the rain had stopped for a bit. There was a huge line around the park... I didn't realize it until I was listening to someone strumming a guitar that there was a concert in the park today. Shake Shack and rain

So there we were having some dinner at the Shake Shack; a restaurant in Madison Square Park (23rd and Madison). It was my first time and I was excited to see how the food was. Summer in the city

My summer has been a whirlwind. After I got back from the beach I got a call from one of the internships I had applied to. I came in on a Thursday for an interview and by the next Tuesday I was already moved into my aunts apartment for the duration of the internship. Everything happened very fast; so fast in fact that I barely had time to find my own place to live. I've been bunking at my aunts place in Williamsburg Brooklyn since i got here. It's been great! Life's a beach

Well, classes are finally over. So as any self righteous college student would do I devoted this entire week to living as a vegetable. But, that got boring after the 4th day, so I went to the mall got myself a cute bathing suit. I packed my bag and now I'm going to the beach for the weekend!!!
