Life as it is...

I apologize for the hiatus.  My internet service provider (who shall remain nameless) hates my house.  I had no internet whatsoever for a full month!  It was torture!  But I'm back at school now.  Gosh, I had missed it.

So, quick recap of school life up until today:  I got to move-in early!  I love my first day of dorm-life.  Even if I don't sleep well for the first few nights (I refer to them as Adjustment Nights).  I went through double training: POPs and RAs.  So busy!  But…

Going Bald

Well, as many as you probably know, I already have pretty short hair. So when my friend Tyler Parmer suggested we do a 'head shaving' fundraiser to raise money for Livestrong, I said "Sure, I'll shave my head, it won't be any different".

Of course with these types of fundraisers there is never one 'winner', we all made the decision to join Andy Behler, the true winner, and shave our heads together:…

Missing Albright :(

So ive been talking to friends from school on basically a daily basis and it just makes me realize how much i miss being at Albright!!!!

It's crazy cuz I thought that I would be ok since I have my internship to distract me from thinking of Albright so much but it backfired of course! I think I actually made it a week before I wanted to go back but it took about a month for me to admit it outloud lol The friends you make at Albright (as cheesy as it sounds) really do become your… Continue

Old Dragon Defeats Young Tiger( a story with a lesson for us all)

I wrote this awhile ago, I love creative writing and short stories involving Animals myths and..Morals or lessons!

OLD DRAGON DEFEATS YOUNG TIGER

Experience is a broad term these days. Do people gain more experience with age? Is experience the best teacher? Do old men lose their grip on life after awhile, or does their inner wisdom teach them moderation? Does the spirit falter with age, or does the light grow brighter? Do individual differences serve the greater… Continue

Dropping SAT Requirement the Right Thing for Albright

Albright announced last week that it will no longer require standardized test scores to gain admission to the College. It is a decision that is right for Albright as the College attempts to select the best applicants. While standardized tests may have a place in other college and university admission criteria, they do not at Albright. To be authentic to and representative of the College’s values and beliefs, Albright can no… Continue

Weekend: All Albright, All the Time

Is it really a weekend if you work Saturday and Sunday? Since both days will be enjoyable, it will be fun, but a long weekend is ahead.

On Saturday 300+ future Albrightians from the class of 2012 will be on campus for Sneak Peek, a pre-orientation day for incoming students and their families. I am there just to assist and meet families. Hope to see you there, but please do not stop me at the end of the day, because I'm hoping to get out on the golf course after the program! Just… Continue

So what are cafe trays used for?

Albright students don't use trays in the cafe. It is one of the Albright phenomenas. Now it has been quite sometime since I was a college student, but I used a tray in the cafe at my school, so this oddity caught me off guard. If you visit the cafe you can always tell the non-Albrightians. They stick out, the visitors, the faculty, the administrators.......... they all use trays. The students, ABSOLUTELY NOT!

So why are there trays in… Continue
