Help

This Spring semester is going way to fast already. We are getting ready to start our 3rd week already and people already are complaining about tests :( However, this is looking to be one of the best semesters at Albright for me. I finally am taking a Pankratz class after hearing so much good things about him as a professor, and how fun his classes are. I advise everyone to at least have Pankratz once before they leave Albright.

It is hard to believe that I finally am turning 21, only…

Internship

On Monday I start my internship with a local accounting firm called Herbein + Company. I will be working over tax season and will be completing over 700 tax returns. The Career Development Center helped me in the search process of finding the internship and preparing my resume for the interview. I am really looking forward to this real accounting world experience!

Allocations and Board of Trustees Weekend

The spring semester is off to a busy start as usual. This weekend is one of the Student Government Association's busiest weekends of the semester. Allocations from all of the organizations are due today and the Board of Trustees are on campus. The members of SGA get to sit in on some of the Board meetings and we get to meet some of the Trustees, which is a very rewarding experience. This weekend SGA will be working hard getting all of our allocations work done for the semester. Classes have…

My Little Sniffy

So today I had my first Motivation lab and I received my little virtual rat named sniffy. He is so cute and I got to classically condition him! I love Psychology.

First Week of Spring

I could not wait to be back for the Spring semester or so I thought. The first week back was both fun and tiring. I ended up getting assigned a paper the first day of classes and a lot of reading assignments. Everything ended up going smoothly though which I thought was wonderful. Things are really falling into place and I am finding my groove for the Spring semester. My classes this semester are also really fun. I cannot wait to dive into my history classes even deeper; especially my Modern…

busy, busy, busy!

Between classes, working, and softball season beginning, my schedule has definitely been hectic. Even though this is my third year playing a sport, I still always feel overwhelmed. I always worry that I'm not going to get my work done, my grades are going to slip, and I'm going to miss too much class once games start. Every season I have the same worry but at the end of every semester, my grades always reflect on hard I worked. Time management is key this semester and honestly in every…

Spring Semester, Spaghettios, Senior Thesis, Insanity and Spikes… : ))

*sigh : )))) (big happy sigh) so my life in a nutshell… I guess I could start with the fact that I am writing this after cleaning my apartment all morning, which is so new and amazing it isn’t even a chore yet :) I could also add that I am looking out at all the snow and wondering where the nice weather went.  OMG, was it like 10 degree this morning???  :P I am eating canned spaghettios with meatballs for lunch, (a magnificent meal, perfect to illustrate the life of a true college student) I…

My first internship!

I am really excited to be starting my internship at GoggleWorks. There I will be assisting in day to day marketing tasks. I will be responsible for creating the weekly email to the subscribed members and to write press releases. This will be my first internship and I am extremely excited but nervous at the same time!

Tomorrow is the big day!

It's finally here... AS OF TOMORROW I WILL OFFICIALLY BE A STUDENT TEACHER! It is unbelievable that my four years at Albright is coming to an end. I am very excited, but I am also a little nervous! I have a first grade class for my first six weeks and then I have a sixth grade English class for six weeks. This really gives me a chance to cover both ends of the spectrum! I can't lie... I have had my bag packed and five outfits picked out for a week! I guess you could say I am a little excited:)

Last First Day!

Today is my very last first day of Spring Semester. The last semester of college EVER! The last time I'll be taking classes (unless of course I go to Grad School at some point). The last time I'll be doing homework. And the end of swim season. I CANNOT believe it's here. It's so surreal to me.  But so far I'm off to an extremely good start!

I had quite possibly the most awesome weekend ever. Not only was it our senior meet like I mentioned before, but…

The First Day of the Spring Semester

Today was the first day back for the start of the spring semester. Like last semester my classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I did not have class today which was nice. This semester I have an internship with a local accounting firm, which I am looking forward to! I will be an intern for the tax season assisting with completing tax returns. I am excited for this real accounting world experience that I will gain from the internship. I am also looking forward to the tennis season…

Senior Year in High School

I'm in my last year of high. I am basically in the process of filling out college applications. I have just recently applied here to albright college. I am now waiting for my decision to come in the mail. I am so scared because i have recently visited Albright College and I can say that I loved it so much. This school is at the top of my list. I really want to attend this school.

Senior Seminar: A Sneak Peek

The time has come the walrus said...

With that out of the way, I must say I don't know how I got to this point. I still feel like the high school graduate excited to go off to college. Yet, here I am typing as a second semester senior getting ready to graduate from college. I honestly don't know how I got here.

With senior year comes a plethora of senior type things which include my Senior Thesis and Senior Seminar. My Senior Thesis is something I chose to do for departmental…

Les Mis is anything but Miserable!

PS: if you haven't seen or listened to Les Miserables yet....GO SEE/LISTEN TO IT!!!! Trust me you won't regret it.

I went and saw it over break and thought it was absolutely beautiful even having never read or heard about the story really before. The music is absolutely drool worthy and it's been stuck in my head for weeks! I'm not complaining though. I found this video the other day and you should definitely check it out. It's a one man medley of Les Mis and let me tell you Nick…

Just Keep Swimming...Just Keep Swimming

Hi Everyone!

Wow, Happy 2013! Time just seems to be flying faster and faster. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and a happy new year. I know that I especially enjoyed the time off but man have I been super busy since the last time I posted.

I finished up finals in style and got my 4.0 for the semester which of course I'm super excited about! Then it was down to Puerto Rico for our 8 day training trip. Swimming twice a day plus dryland definitely isn't easy, but being able…

Christmas, Kisses, Carbonara and Carpooling

Christmas break was so, so sweet.  : )))) With the pressure of finals over, I spent most of my time exactly as planned.  I slept so late, ate so many wonderful things.   : )  I watched movies… or at least the beginning of sooo many movies until I fell sound asleep, (haha) I went sleigh riding, got my very first kiss in the snow, went shopping, got so many wonderful gifts from both sides of my family, got to soak up family time, Christmas gatherings, laughter and the warmth of being…
