It is the first free day I have had, since I have been Home and instead of relaxing and taking a break, I decided to start my application for a Summer Internship I am applying for. What the internship is, is to work at a local lab near my house in a research study hopefully invovling the fields of medical science and/or biology. So, this was a MUCH needed break for me! It's been GREAT, just hanging out with my family and my friends from high school, but I still feel Albright calling me back. There's just SO much to do preparing for next semester: fundraisers to plan, rosters to draft, plans to make... it gets a TWEE bit overwhelming, but at least I still have another month to do it. So it is the day after christmas and I am sitting here watching my boyfriend Josh and my brother James play The Incredibles video game. It has been a great past week filled with seeing family, spending time with my boyfriend who came to spend Christmas with me and relaxing. I also had to work a few days at the bakery I work at which was completly insane. I finally was able to go home last Sunday, ok well not really home but, to my boyfriends house for the Hanukkah party where I met my family. We were eating, talking, the usual. I promise, I have done absolutely nothing. Alright, well, not absolutely nothing. Lately though, all I've literally been doing each day is reading the bible, running, and hanging out with family and friends. It's so perfect! Hooorayyy! The semester is finally completed! Boy did it go quickly.

Finals went well, can't complain about those. I had to take four, however, out of my five classes, which ammounted to a whole lot of studying and late nights! On one of the nights during finals week, however, my friends and I got together, watched the Grinch, ate cookies, and exchanged gifts. It was a great time! (My friends and I are big Christmas music buffs...we've been listening to it for months now!)

After ten years of reading applications and making decisions the joy of informing an eager student of their admission to college never gets old. Sometimes the planets align and you are able to make that moment even more special than normal. That occurred yesterday when I had a wonderful student and her family in my office for an interview.

As soon as I came home I was hit with a snow storm that just my luck I have to clean the entire driveway and steps to my house... when at Albright.... I don't have a driveway to clean!!!

And all of the issues and drama of being back home made me realize all the more now why I love Albright so much.......

After a hectic week of finals, filled of tests and papers. I finally have made it home :). It only took about 4 hours but it feels great to be back on Long Island. But I am not going to lie I am already missing my wonderful friends back at Albright...i almost cried when some of them left (i know such a girl lol). But I am so happy to be home at the same time. It's over, it's done, it's a wrap. Yep. I just took my last final for the semester and I'm so excited I can hardly contain my joy. Okay but not so fast because I have one more paper that's due tomorrow. Anyways, who cares, it's almost done so I'm not going to allow that to take my joy away.

Yes, yes we have reached the end of the semester! We are officially done on Friday, sooner if your finals finish earlier. Of course, I have a final on Friday so I'll be chillen. It is great to be busy, and that so many of you are showing interest in Albright, but this time of year can be stressful for admission people.
