Saturday In the Admission Office

Hey all! Happy Halloween and all that stuff.

I'm sitting in the Admission office this fine Saturday with Jeff, Jen, Erin, and of course Loren.

Today's the day of the Albright/FDU game, hope we can keep the undefeated season alive. I might get to catch the second half of the game once we finish up work here. SGA is having a tailgate near the stadium with FREE cheesesteaks, which is an instant win in my book.

And the other day my FACE was put up! It was a nice… Continue

CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE!!!!!

So this past week we had a field trip (yes we still have field trips in college!) to the Hershey Chocolate Plant out in Hershey, PA!!!!!!!

It was so much fun getting to tour the plant, meet the employees, and most of all getting tons and tons of FREE CHOCOLATE! It was like going trick or treating at the factory!? lol We learned alot about how the factory was started and it was interesting to learn that as an entreprenuer, Milton Hershey, failed about 5 times before he had his 1st… Continue

Life In the Fast Lane.

Hey all!

Its unbelievable that midterms has come and gone already! My junior year is almost half over and I can't even believe it. I never thought that I would be sitting in my advisor's office discussing what I still need to take in order to graduate on time. I mean, my family always told me that my college years are going to be the fastest 4 years of my life and well NOW I believe them. It feels like yesterday that I was running up and down the halls of Walton, setting up… Continue

Job Searching at Albright might take me all the way to China!

Last week, I was invited to go to a dinner with the board of trustees. I attended and speaking with alumni of Albright as well as trustees who hold stake in Albright's participation in the community, made me realize that graduation is coming... and fast. Yes, I still have a semester to go along with an interim I'm taking (The biology of first aid, that might actually come in handy one of these days as I am a very clumsy person), but I should have an internship lined up for the upcoming semester… Continue

This should have been my first blog

I just want to take a minute to reflect on the first few months I was at Albright and how I changed as a person from those around me. When I first moved into Walton hall it was an understatement to say that it was a change of pace for me. Coming from a Philadelphia suburb, I quickly found all responsibility was going to be put on me. But I wasn't alone. Every person living with me was in the same situation. You quickly learn to adapt and develop skills you once thought you would never know how… Continue

It's been a minute...

Hey guys, it has been a minute, but school's been quite interesting. Classes aren't as smooth as they used to be! All of this reading is something. Well, I guess that's school for you. Hope everyone has a safe and blessed week!

Atlantic Records Experience

I would like to take this blog time to talk a little bit about my internship. ITS AWESOME!! Thank you career development center!! For those of you who don't know, I'm interning in New York City with Atlantic Records, one of the big time record labels in the US. Believe it or not, Jay-Z was in my office hanging out on my first day. I couldn't even speak. This was around the time when we were working on his new album and trying to promote it with radio stations.

I had never thought I… Continue

Concentrate!

Sorry it's been a while!

The last few weeks have been absolutely jam packed, day in and day out. Between class, work, fraternity, and the millions of other clubs and tasks, I've had little time to do much of anything.

But today is the Concentration fair! I'm sitting at the Political Science table ready to talk about the wonderful things one could do in the oh so exciting world of Politics. I was asked by Dr. Auerbach, head of the pre-law track to be here to just talk about… Continue

Friendly Strangers.

My brother and I are watching Madonna's "Like a Prayer" on Germany's MTV

This week is my fall break from school- so I decided to spend the week with my brother and his wife in Germany- they live on an army base in Ansbach. I knew that getting to Ansbach would take most of the day on Saturday- I left Paris at around 1pm and would be arriving in Ansbach at 9pm- but what I didn't expect was making friends...

Once I arrived in Frankfurt, I had to find the ticket booth and… Continue

Allee le bleu!

Listening to Ane Brun's "Rubber and Soul"

I have two stories to tell-

STORY ONE:

Wednesday night was the World Cup qualifiers (my mother thought this dealt with tennis)- France vs. Austria.

For 10 euros, you not only get the nose bleed seats but the rowdy, young, french crowd who are super pumped and have so much liquids in them that just wearing a jersey keeps them warm- I had my jersey on under my northface (I know, how American of me- BUT it was really cold)… Continue

Halfway there

This weekend is fall break.

I need it.

Desperately.

I feel like all I have been doing is running around for lots of things -- observations in the classroom (2 different schools!), class, homework, research for honors senior thesis paper, the list goes on! But, this fall break will not be spent relaxing. Instead, I am going to a concert for this wonderful, amazing group of men. Maybe you've heard of them? Celtic Thunder? Ohh yes, forgive me for watching watching PBS and… Continue

back to normal

So finally things have settled down...at least for now. Last weekend was Homecoming weekend and it was crazy to say the least. Luckily it didn't rain, like the forecast had predicted all week. It was actually bright and sunny, and somehow even in October I managed to get sunburn...not exactly proud of that fact haha.

Saturday I attended multiple alumni events. I was in the parade on the Lion Diplomats float and we won 3rd place! I also attended the Lion Diplomats 25th reunion, which… Continue

Homecoming and such activities...

So, on your senior year, you anticipate Homecoming! It's so exciting, and you are so thrilled to get intolved and have an awesome time with friends. Unfortunately, that is not quite how my senior year homecoming played out, BUT, it was still awesome!!!!

Let me explain. I am part of the Student PSEA which is an organization for all of the teachers in PA and we have a student program. From our student conference last year, I took a position as Regionl President for the Eastern region… Continue

Sorry...

So, I'm sorry that I haven't been blogged in a hot minute, but you know it takes a bit to get back into the swing of things. Homecoming was this weekend was sweeeet. The game was a land slide victory and the dance was pretty cool. Hope everyone is having a great school year so far!

Last 2 Weeks = Crazy

So i just have start off by saying, YAY ITS OCTOBER!!! and its been awhile since i've blogged, not that i didn't want to but because i've been so busy doing things. I had my first chemistry exam last friday and my second calculus test on the same day and on top of that i had the flu...It was the greatest experience of my life, i barely made it through the calc test without falling asleep. MEISA King of the MIC

This past thursday night, MEISA (Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association), hosted its 1st event of the semester. It was the King of the MIC, a freestyle rap battle that was open to the entire campus. It was the 1st time we ever had an event like this on campus so I was pretty excited about it. About 2 years ago, when I had 1st become apart of the MEISA e-board as the SGA (Student Governement Association) Rep, our President at the time, Gill Cornwall, really wanted to host one but… Continue

In France they don't pronounce S

Listening to my host brother play grand theft auto.

So lets just talk about the magic that is the Paris Metro. It's my new best friend.

Now, the little side streets- that aren't on the map- those are my worst enemy and I get lost on them.

It took me and my roommate two hours (two hourssss!!!) to find our way back to our house because we took a side street. Note to anyone deciding to study abroad- totally do it! but don't take side streets- ever.

At dinner that… Continue
