Summer Time at Albright

It is my first summer staying here at Albright instead of heading back to NJ. I never actually realized how much work they do while we are gone. I mean I figured change lock rooms. But, there is so much more. They are working by the statidum to make it better. There are basketball camps here that use the facilities and make sure that things keep operating just like the caf. This blog is most important to those who are studying or thinking of becoming a teacher, like myself. I found this very controversial article that draws a correlation between the salary rate of teachers and the success of the children in the school districts. Packing it all up

Hey gang,

Randy Pausch Will Continue to Teach Us All How to be a Tigger!

Despite his death on Friday, Randy Pausch's Last Lecture will continue to inspire millions. If you haven't viewed on YouTube, I highly recommend viewing the lecture. I received his book for my birthday and hope to get to it during our fall travel season.

Sunshine and Summer time!

Okay, so less then a month and I will be moving into school for my final year!! AHHH all of these emotions ... but the most important one that I am focusing on is to have fun and enjoy it !!!!!! Accidental concert

McCarren Park- Brooklyn

I took my little cousin to the park to play a little since the rain had stopped for a bit. There was a huge line around the park... I didn't realize it until I was listening to someone strumming a guitar that there was a concert in the park today. So we stayed for a while and listened to the Ting Tings rehearse there song, "Shut up and let me go." There were other local bands playing (MGMT, and Black Moth Super Rainbow). 161 years later and we are still going strong.

LIBERIA: From the word liberate meaning to be free. We are the oldest independent country in Africa, moreso, we are the first country in all of Africa to have a female commander-in-chief. Liberia was founded 1821-1822 by the American Colonization Society for freed slaves. Yes, my maternal great-great-grandfather was a slave. Shake Shack and rain

So there we were having some dinner at the Shake Shack; a restaurant in Madison Square Park (23rd and Madison). It was my first time and I was excited to see how the food was. I really had no idea what to order so I had my friend who had been there before order for me. My burger was absolutely heavenly. Summer in the city

My summer has been a whirlwind. After I got back from the beach I got a call from one of the internships I had applied to. I came in on a Thursday for an interview and by the next Tuesday I was already moved into my aunts apartment for the duration of the internship. Has Anyone Seen My Running Shoes? July 23, 2008.

As a member of the Albright Field Hockey team the summer is an excellent time to get in shape and build one's skills. However, for me, finding the time to get to the gym has become extremely hard considering I've misplaced my running shoes.

Day Care Duties

Ok well since I'm a child and family studies major, and am about to enter my 3rd year of college, I figured I should get some field work in my area of study. So...along with working at Victoria's Secret I started working at a day care this summer. Talk about an eye-opener!
