The first month of the summer is sadly coming to a close. Well I will start out by introducing myself. My name is Kyle and I am going to be a sophomore in the fall. So after putting on an awesome show at the Silo nightclub this past friday, it was time to finally get my impacted wisdom teeth out that I delayed for as long as I could. Unfortuently the impacted teeth had began causing improper jaw alignment in my mouth, which was causing stress on my vocal chords. I have had the best past couple of days ever.

First we paired up and were sent away to do "homestays" with different families in the area. I was brought to the home of Mama Happy. She put us to work right away- we did laundry (by hand), dishes, cleaned walls, swept (using a tree branch), and cooked. She was the sweetest woman and I'm so glad I was able to meet her. Summer's here! But now the fun part is over and it is time to start working. I leave for Hong Kong on Friday, and I couldn't be more excited for the experience. This will be the my first time travelling and living alone, along with working with a large business. Wish me luck! 

Trying to find a job in this economy is definitely not something easy, even if its just for the summer. We all know a lot of people or at least have family who know a lot of people. The BEST resource to find a job is USING THE PEOPLE THAT YOU KNOW. Tell everyone that you know, uncles, aunts, cousins, neighbors, parents coworkers, EVERYONE that your looking for a job.      This summer I am interning at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library which is part of the Washington Centers Competitive Government Program. The process of applying to the program is not as straight forward as the regular Washington Center internship program. After today I am very happy the harmony is almost done. I managed to finish two songs today that seemed to take forever to find what notes would work and not leave the range of the singers I am writing for. Luckily there is only one song left to finish, and its a duet for a male and female singer. This will be interesting since im going to be working with a larger range. Once this song is finished I will have to find a female vocalist to sing on the album.
