WowW... what a start to summer it has been. first off, the football team traveled to Canada and recorded a 35-1 victory over Vanier college out of Montreal. It was a blast going up there and spending some time out with the guys after getting the WIN!! As soon as I got back from Canada, I decided to go to visit a teammate of mine who's from NJ. My brother is too.  He'll be a senior this year, so he'll start getting ready for applications this Summer.  He's such a soccer star.  I'm proud of him, but I'm trying to get him to choose a school for more than the soccer program.  He needs to find a school that fits him, and not just his soccer skills.  So, in light of his search, I've a bit of advice if you are where he is:

It is officially Summer Time!! Flip flops, shorts, beaches, BBQs the list goes on and on! after the hectic final couple weeks of Albright last semester I'm sure all Albrightians are extremely happy to be home amongst their friends and family to enjoy their summer! Its weird to think that our graduating seniors will not be returning with us at the start of the fall semester, graduation was a real tear jerker, but goodbyes are never permanent, I know we will be seeing our lovely seniors again…

So it finally happened.... they kicked me out.  Well they really didn't kick me out.. I just happened to graduate, which apparently is the goal of going to college in the first place. Who knew?  But before I start to cry again (which I have been doing for about 4 days now) I am going to tell you all about the top 10 things I am going to miss about Albright.

As bittersweet as this moment is, I have to say that I am grateful to have had a pleasant four years of growth, in all aspects of life, at Albright. I was granted the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, and learned SO much about myself. I now understand why people always say that college will be some of the best years of your life.

Well I just got home from Las Vegas and even though its 11:30 here im still on their time which is 8:30 so im not even that tired! it was such a fun trip and seeing somewhere new is always so interesting. It was funny though cause I walked the strip with my brother on the first day and I have such a mind set about the business world and advertising and marketing strategies so that was so cool to see how each different hotel differentiates themselves from each other and how they bring people…

Finally in my homely abode in Georgia, and nothing is better than sleeping in 'til the afternoon and chilling out for the remainder of the day. For two weeks, I shall exert the maximum amount of catchin' some southern sunshine and momma Trujillo's home cooking. What else do I have planned for the summer? Well, at some point (June 12th to be exact), round 2 of Summer Conferences will occupy my summer time. It was a good work…

And you know what, I did pretty well.

Alright, so, I've been home for exactly a week now.  It's such a great feeling.  But, no worries, I've kept busy!  I have a few jobs lined up for Summer, and I just got back from visiting Washington, D.C. for the first time yesterday.  I had a blast!  A friend of mine took my picture by the Vietnam Memorial (see profile picture) without me knowing.  I was taken to the Natural History and Air and Space Museums, to a few of the monuments, and to a couple of the memorials.  I already want to go…

Earlier this week cars lined up around the residence halls packing instead of unpacking their rooms.  It is the exact opposite of the euphoria of move in day.  The rainy and overcast weather with continual ominous skies is a fitting backdrop for some of my least favorite days on campus.  Albright feels like the shell of itself when the students back up and leave for the summer. 

Campus will certainly come back to life during Sunday’s graduation.  And it is only 97 days until MOVE-IN…

So finals are FINALLY over (for me they were done Friday) and this past week has been spectacular.  I am officially a Senior!  So far I have two B's and an A, so I'm waiting on two more classes.  Other than that here's what's been going on:

Hello everyone!

So, today has been pretty hectic. I had both my calc and chem finals and now I have to study for spanish. But, hey, I'm almost done my sophomore year! It's really sad to see everyone leaving to go home for the summer. Most of the girls in my suite left and it's so quiet.
