Such a fun week!
So I'll admit I wasn't in classes one day last week (GASP). But, I had a good reason. I was invited to attend an event that I learned about from my January internship. Not just any speaker. As you know, my major is biochem, but music is also one of my passions. The speaker, Dr. Richard Kogan, was a psychiatrist with his M.D. from Harvard Medical School. He also studied piano at Juilliard. He uses his knowledge as a psychiatrist to understand the composers he's performing at a level…

So now that it is getting close to the end of my time here.. IM PANICING. Thank God we have the career development center. On Friday I will be going in for them to look over my cover letter and multiple resumes. AHHH.. it's now crunch time. So far I have applied to a lot and either heard no response or deny letters. I guess its all a…

The Acadmic Learning Center
I recently had an epiphany. The most influential day in my academic career was the day I became a tutor.
Everyone learns a little different. It just so happens that I learn the best when I am talking. This is often a sad fact for my professors and classmates, but it is true. A person once told me that my brain and mouth were hard-wired together. I don't really start thinking until I start talking.
Luckily I quickly found a place at Albright where this…

Experience Albright
Hey Everyone!
So I know it's been a while since my last post, but it's because I've been so busy taking advantage of all Albright has to offer! Let me clue you in...
If I had to describe how Albright College separates itself from any other school, I would have to discuss our culture of experiential learning here at school. Not only will you be receiving a liberal arts education, but you'll have amazing opportunities that supplement your classroom knowledge with…

Internships - Don't Choose Convenience!
Almost every student and family inquires about internships through the application and search process. When it comes down to applying and choosing one I’m concerned that many times students choose convenience over rewards. In my opinion this is one of the worst decisions that a student could make. Those students that keep their internship searches open and unlimited will get the best opportunities. And the best opportunities either lead to employment or a resume builder that will lead to…

As I sit here at Public safety working a 3am-7am shift, I have come to realize that sometimes you just have to let life be. Since this is my first post I wanted to say something that I know represents me.So no matter what life throws, it is up to you to make the most of it. You have to take life, realize you can do a certain degree, and effect what you can then let the rest just be as is. Dont try to do more than possible, do what is in your control.

Relay for Life!!
In honor of the Relay for Life last night, this post is in purple! :)
My roommate is a diehard relayer, so last night she hosted an on campus relay! We are hoping to make it a tradition on campus. Last night was phenomenal though. So many…

Awesome Weekends at Albright!
I know I have talked about going to these two events, but now I need to tell you how they were..awesome! Friday night was the Royals hockey game, and it was a blast! You got tickets only with whoever you signed up with, but there were a good amount of empty seats where we were, so everyone moved and could sit together. They ran shuttles there, but we drove separately since we are of age and wanted to check out the bar called The Ugly oyster, which was the perfect place to sit and just…

Writing the next chapter of my life!
I don't know how to say this, but I am a little scared and nerves on the next chapter of my life. The next chapter is going to college and being on my own for the first time. I never had been on my own. I think the first week will be the hardest week of my life. I will have to get to know people and try to get my mind set. But I know once I get moving, I will be fine. I think everyone that…

Constitution High School Generals PIAA State Championship basketball game
Yesterday, I went to Penn State for my high schools PIAA State championship basketball game. The game was amazing. WE WON! We had played Lincoln Park Performing Arts. The score was 68-49. The Constitution Generals keep the lead through out the entire game. They say since my high school is a brand new…

Florida!!
Spring Break is winding down, and I am trying desperately to enjoy my last couple hours in Florida. I am on the second leg of the Albright Angels and Mane Men’s spring tour. We flew into Tampa on Tuesday and then drove to Siesta Key. Our choir director took us out to dinner after we got there at this Oceanside grille. The meal was fantastic and it was such a fun night! The next day our call time was not…

Spring Break!!!
So this week is well deserved! I had 3 tests last week and was going a little crazy, but that's what happens during Mid Terms Week! Now I'm on spring break and have been having the time of my life!!!! So has anyone heard of Boyce Avenue?! Because I have and I am in love!!! <3 My roommates and I play their music constantly in our apartment, so I finally had the opportunity to see them live! What are the chances that they would be playing 40 minutes from my house on the 1st Saturday of…

Greetings from Lewes!
Greetings from Lewes, Deleware!! As most Albright students head home for spring break, I, along with the rest of the Mane Men and Albright Angels departed yesterday for our Spring Tour! Yesterday we were in Mountaintop, Pennsylvania and today we performed in Lewes, Deleware. Lewes is a beautiful town in the southern part of Deleware that is right on the beach. It is very small and quaint and has a…

Free Hockey Game!
Yes, free! Since freshman year I have been going to the Royals minor league team here in Reading, and I enjoy every game. I usually go to about 3 games a year, which is nothing compared to my roommate from freshman year whose parents have season tickets and she goes too, but it's enough for me. So, I was very excited when I got the e-mail that said Albright had 250 tickets for free for students the Friday after Spring Break-yes please! I love going to sporting events because it's a night…

Spring Break!
Alright! I am officially a POP and an RA next year. I am so very excited! It's so crazy to think that it will be my senior year. But I'm getting ahead of myself now...
Spring Break is upon us! While I'm not really going anywhere special or doing anything fantastic, it will still be a nice break...full of work! I'm working at my home-job, volunteering, and giving tours here on campus through break. And when I'm not doing all that, I'll be doing my homework. I have a few…
