So I have finished my last finals, moved all my belongings back home and have had some time to reflect. Both of my internships were amazing.
My CollegeFashionista internship was relatively easy, as long as I got a routine down. The hardest part was remembering to photograph people!! It definitely taught me to work ahead and not procrastinate. There were a few times I was down to the wire on photographing someone and it just ended up causing more stress! It helped me with my…Continue

Well I finished my last final on Friday and I spent this weekend packing up for the last time. The question I ask myself is: What do I do now? I am not sure what I want to do in the future, nor what I need. I am excited for the road ahead and look forward to being able to stretch my wings. What's great about Albright is that you definitely know you have a family to return to. There are alumni who have come back to visit and it's like they've never left. I am scared about graduation in 6…Continue

It’s been rainy and dreary for the past couple of days. And the rain makes me think. A lot. Scary, I know : ) And since I am coming to the end of my Junior year, and actually the end of my year blogging for Albright College, I decided it was a really good time to look back on the past few years and see what I see.
Change. Wow. You know, when you are in the middle of all of it… growing up, I mean…you get buried a bit in it. But, once you have come through some of the really…Continue

I am going to warn everyone right now… Most of the blogs you will see in the next few days will be about how nobody can believe the semester is almost over. But that’s only because we can’t believe that the semester is almost over!
I know I always talk about how fast time goes in college, but it’s because it’s true! Everything just flies by and before you know it you are heading into your SENIOR YEAR!
In order to actually make it to senior year I have to pass my finals…Continue

My time here in Washington D.C. has helped me realize where I want to be in the near future. Before this internship experience, I was honestly not taking jobs after graduation seriously. This process helped me prepare for that. I am no longer afraid to nail it in an interview, give out my awesome resume, and continue my education as much as possible. So take a little advice from someone who has taken the initiative to stop out of their comfort zone and try new experiences.
With tomorrow being the last day of classes and the weather being beautiful the past couple of days, I am very ready for summer! The past few weeks have been work heavy but I managed to get everything done and on time. It's such a relief when I finally hand in an assignment. Today was also the Ambassadors/Faces picnic. I didn't get to stay long due to a meeting, but it was nice to see all the departing seniors together for one last time. I wish them all nothing but the best of luck and I…Continue

Wow, tomorrow is May! Who knew? Good luck to those of you who are making your big college decisions before tomorrow and special congratulations to all of you who have picked Albright! Not like I'm biased or anything but I think you've made a terrific choice.
I have been so ridiculously busy with the end of the semester wrapping up. All my big final projects are due this week and I have two business presentations to get through as part of them. Crazy!
However, this past…Continue

My meeting with Senator Bob Casey was really great. We met him in front of the capitol building on the Senate stairs. We introduced ourselves and spoke about our internships. He is really great guy. We took a picture and walked over to his office building to speak with one of his legislative aid. We spoke about different issues and topics that interest us. That started a good week because then I got a lot done at work. I finally finished my climate change project and posted it in the main…Continue

The semester is almost over.......such a bittersweet feeling. So excited for summer to start and to see my friends from home... but so much work to do before that happens!! Things have been the same here at Firefly. Rebecca says that the traffic in the store usually picks up by this time. She was telling me today how she has noticed a definite decline in sales as online shopping has increased and how reading just isn't the "happening" spot that it is used to be. It isn't the most ideal…Continue
Hello everyone I am back again and the things are starting to wind down. I only have a few more papers to write and two finals to take then my Jr. year at Albright has come to an end. This year has felt like it went by so fast. I do not know where the time is going and I am going to miss all of my friends when they graduate this year. I wish them the best of luck in the future and will try my best to keep in touch. What people say is true the friendships you make in college last forever. I…Continue

So I updated my life as a senior, but not everything else! I am about to finish student teaching, as I mentioned. I am still in sixth grade and I am going to miss them! They were very different from my first graders, but it was fun! I just received an invitation to the Awards and Honors Dinner! Yay! How fun! I am so excited! Then the following night we have our athletics banquet! It is going to be a busy next few weeks, but I am very excited!

How is it already the end of April?! It doesn't seem possible! I have one week of student teaching left, as of today! I graduate in 3 weeks! I am about to experience my own senior week! WHAT?! I haven't even fully convinced myself that I am really a senior yet! I don't know when that will register. Maybe after I graduate and am no longer even a student. Time really does fly!

This weekend I was able to make one my biggest dreams come true. As a student at Albright College, I have always been so amused by the vast diversity on this campus. To celebrate this diversity, I have been working hard for two semesters on a project called Fusion Night. Fusion Night was hosted for the first time at Albright College on April 19, 2013 by the executive and general members…Continue

This program is moving very quickly and I have had barely anytime for myself! This weekend was a lot of fun because we finally had our “Fun Day on the Mall” fundraising event for my civic engagement project. We fundraised for the veterans’ group; Team Red White and Blue by hosting kickball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, and football games at the field across from the MLK memorial. Afterwards there was the main fundraising part at a local bar. I am so glad I am a part of the veterans’ civic…Continue
