Spring Fever!

My last post encouraged you to seek out experiential learning opportunities at Albright. So you know, I've got one more for you (especially if you're an Environmental Studies major). A couple of students and I partnered up and built a permaculture garden right across from the freshmen dorms! It sounds random, I know, but it's a great mechanism for building both a stronger community and local…See More

"I can't agree with this post enough! To all of you high schoolers out there, just go for it! By the time I graduate next year, I'll have had three different internship opportunities. All of the extra experience only helps differentiate you…"

Experience Albright

Hey Everyone! So I know it's been a while since my last post, but it's because I've been so busy taking advantage of all Albright has to offer! Let me clue you in...If I had to describe how Albright College separates itself from any other school, I would have to discuss our culture of experiential learning here at school. Not only will you be receiving a liberal arts education, but you'll have amazing opportunities that supplement your classroom knowledge with real-world, hands-on experiences.…See More

Riddle Me This

Question. What do Atlantic City, theater productions, and the number 21 all have in common? If your answer included the movie titles "21" or "Ocean's Eleven" you are mistaken, albeit very clever. All three actually pertain to experiences I've had over the past month! You see January 2nd was my 21st birthday. (Sidenote: you don't feel any differently, I promise). This benchmark age did allow my friends and I to make a trip to Atlantic City for an extended weekend and it did not disappoint. I felt…See More

"Thanks for the article! It is the reason I have hope for the recent and upcoming graduating classes, but I think there are some weaknesses in his argument, too. Stop by when you get back if you want to discuss!"

So it sounds incredibly nerdy blogging about the economy as a 20 year old college student, but I'm about to do so anyway. If you follow the link (Indie Capitalism) prepare to have your mind blown. If you become so lucky to work in our college admission office you will become very familiar with CNN as if broadcasts 24/7 in our lobby. It's All About Who You Know

One of the many advantages to attending a school like Albright College is the individual attention one can receive. One usually thinks of this in terms of the classroom, I got a completely different perspective two days during a trip to New York City to meet business alumni. Our day began in a Goldman Sachs conference room where we heard from three very successful alumni from our business program and their journeys to New York City. It was amazing to hear. Each of them shared the same story in…See More

Snowcoming 2011

Oh Homecoming, how you never cease to amaze me. Eight inches of snow being dropped on Reading,Pennsylvania certainly was not the way I envisioned my homecoming tailgate experience to unfold. Either way, I had an absolute blast! Catching up with alumni and socializing with your friends and fraternity brothers is an amazing time regardless of the weather. I even got the chance to see the Albright darling and former FACE, Jeff Plummer for a period of like 5 minutes. All in all, though, it was a…See More
