Job Searching

Trying to find a job in this economy is definitely not something easy, even if its just for the summer. We all know a lot of people or at least have family who know a lot of people. The BEST resource to find a job is USING THE PEOPLE THAT YOU KNOW. Tell everyone that you know, uncles, aunts, cousins, neighbors, parents coworkers, EVERYONE that your looking for a job. More than likely they know of a job or of someone who knows someone with open positions somewhere. Apply as fast as you can…See More

Summer, Summer, Summer!!!!

So graduation has come and go and now everyone is home for the summer! As my residents were leaving for home, I kept hearing about all their summer plans....the beach, summer jobs, trips to England and the Bahamas, internships, etc. And I love that everyone is going to be so busy, but the one thing everyone can't forget is that you need to relax and take a break at some point during this fabulous break we are given! The worst thing you can do is to be so busy that you are literally going and…See More

READING DAY...INTERESTING CONCEPT!

Exactly 2 weeks from today is READING DAY!!! As in reading a book not the city Albright is located in. Hahaha. It's the day after the last day of classes and before the first day of finals that Albright gives us to spend studying and preparing for any finals or presentations we will give during finals week. This new day came about last year when the school took away our Monday after Easter break away and gave us a day to study for finals. It's interesting because many students if you ask them…See More

The Final Push of the Semester is....

CRAZY!!!! That's the one word for how I can describe how the weeks after spring break till graduation are. Every day of the week is packed with classes, meetings, activities and events to attend, sometimes it gets a little over whelming! Just this last weekend was a CRAZY one! On Friday my sorority had our 13 new girls initiated into our sorority and we are so proud to finally be able to call them SISTERS! Then the next morning I worked in Admissions giving tours to fabulous prospective…See More

It seems like it was just yesterday that Interim had ended and it was the first day of classes of the semester....now its the beginning of week SEVEN!!!! I can't even believe we are half way through the semester, where has the time gone?!?! This week is in to be a rough one, 4 big papers and a midterm all due this week! It's not as bad as some of my other friends but still, it's a lot of work. The one thing though that keeps me going through midterm week is that by 3PM on friday I will be done…See More

This school year is blowing by me and I can't even believe it. In the last 6 weeks I have done a lot...My sorority had formal recruitment and we got every single girl that we wanted! I'm so proud especially because It was my postion (Membership Director) that was in charge of the whole process....stressful but definitely worth it! Now that…See More

HAPPY NEW YEAR....10 DAYS LATER!!

So hello everyone and welcome to 2012!!!! I'm so happy to be in this year, because there is so much to look forward to. My mother's wedding, graduation, the end of the world (JK!!!!). But for real, I really believe that this year is one of new beginnings. I went through a lot last semester, more challenging than I expected, but I survived. The fact that I am at school during interim but not taking a class is kind of a blessing in disguise. I have time to organize my thoughts, my mind, find my…See More

FINALS ARE OVER...at least for me!!!

So I just finished taking my last final about 2 hours ago!!! I'm so happy that this week is over and that I can finally get back to my regular hours of sleeping. Between Crunch week last week and finals this week, Dunkin Donuts Caramel Mocha Iced Coffee and I have been best friends! But its not all fun and games yet, because I still have to finish one more paper and check all of my residents out of the building so they can all go home by friday night!I'm just so excited that I can relax a bit…See More

The Albright Experience

So I just got done with giving a bunch of tours to some fabulous future albrightians! There are some people who come to Albright who are looking for that place to call home and when they get here, they think oh this is just another college. Here at Albright, we make sure that when you finish a tour, you go home having an experience, not just another boring tour. We show you what Albright truely is....a community atmosphere where we can guarantee a best friend will be made before you graduate. I…See More

Homecoming

So yesterday was one of the best days I have ever had at Albright! First I found out that I am on HOMECOMING COURT for Homecoming this weekend, which is soooooo exciting. And then right after I found out this glorious information, the senior ambassadors (tour guides) and I all had the honor of having dinner with President McMillan and his wife Dottie McMillan. We had such great conversation and absolutely delicious food and I'm so glad that I got to be apart of that! That's one of the things I…See More
