Seattle!

Hi, everyone! It has been a crazy past few weeks, and I am happy to say that it will continue to be crazy until the end of the semester. I think I will be bored over break! Anyway, just wanted to update you all --- this coming weekend I will be in Seattle for a special conference for Education students. I am getting to go through our PA State Education Association, and I am looking forward to having a good time. I'm busy getting together lesson plans and questions for our Spring Conference Outre… Continue

Halfway there

This weekend is fall break.
I need it.
Desperately.

I feel like all I have been doing is running around for lots of things -- observations in the classroom (2 different schools!), class, homework, research for honors senior thesis paper, the list goes on! But, this fall break will not be spent relaxing. Instead, I am going to a concert for this wonderful, amazing group of men. Maybe you've heard of them? Celtic Thunder? Ohh yes, forgive me for watching watching PBS and being entranced by the si… Continue

Homecoming and such activities...

So, on your senior year, you anticipate Homecoming! It's so exciting, and you are so thrilled to get intolved and have an awesome time with friends. Unfortunately, that is not quite how my senior year homecoming played out, BUT, it was still awesome!!!!

Let me explain. I am part of the Student PSEA which is an organization for all of the teachers in PA and we have a student program. From our student conference last year, I took a position as Regionl President for the Eastern region (where Albri… Continue

A new week :)

So, last week I felt like I didn't have a second of free time... I was definitely working A LOT in the admission office, and it was sad there because all of the counselors were out visiting YOU -- our prospectives -- at your high schools. This, in and of itself, is a cool concept because I totally talked to/met Chris at my high school and now this year my brother will be doing the same thing (YES! He is considering Albright). So, it is pretty cool that our counselors meet a lot of you, even if y… Continue

Busy busy!

It's kind of crazy to believe that we are already into week 4 of the semester! It's already gotten crazy with classes and extracurricular stuff... but, it also keeps life fun!

So, the other week I blogged and I TOTALLY forgot to mention about my trip to Wildwood the other weekend. My mistake! It was an Albright trip (like a bunch of the ones that happen all the time), and we paid a $5 deposit to hold our seat on the bus. It was a nice charter bus, too, guys! And when you get on the bus to go on… Continue

(so hard keeping dif colleges and their days straight.) for the education day do i get to sit in on classes or will that be more like a tour of education stuff and information about it?

Yea, i am looking forward to going there again and at Lycoming today they were talking about some of the new requirements and changes and things one thing i can remember is that we are going to have to do more hours of like observing and things like that before our acctual student teaching. i think it is like 100 and some. but i am not positive.

Hey Jen. Just went to visit Lycoming today... and you are so right about the bathrooms. Even though you are never usually in the bathrooms together it would still be like taking a shower in the closet. Plus, I didnt really get the vibe that it was for me! So YAY i now really want to go to Albright. Thinking of setting up to come there for the Monday where you can sit in on a class. Do you know wether that would be only for me to sit in on the class or my parents would be sitting in with me. (personally id rather do it by myself to get a better experience but if it is not set up that way then so be it.)
