I want to hear from the Faces of Albright, past and present, what is the best residence hall and why?

Mohn Hall is definitely the best residence hall! I've lived here since my freshman year and it has such a diverse group of people. The lounges even have their own personalities. The first floor lounge is the "hang out" lounge where everyone comes to relax. The second floor lounge is the group study lounge, which is a little quiter than the first floor. Then the third floor lounge is the silent study lounge where people go to have peace and quiet. Not only can it be quiet when you need it to be, but there is always something fun to do when you want to. =)
I agree with Jen! This is my first year at Mohn and so far it's my favorite! It's on the side of campus with all the other dorms and it's just nice to walk outside and see people playing games on North field (of course when weather permits) and then to walk down and see people hanging out in the quad. It's just the perfect position for me. And the view from the lounges is really really nice. I love just staring out the window sometimes when I need to escape. =)
I personally love north. The suite style dorm is the way to go! It's really cool to be able to decorate not only your rooms, but also your hallway, bathroom and lounge. It's like living in your own little apartment with the people you love the most. We also have the best view of the sunsets!
I LOVED Smith. It was a really fun experience to meet people and have so many different groups of people in my building! I am in North this year and I like it, I just miss seeing other people walk by my room besides my suite-mates (even though I love them!)... I'm a people watcher and it was my distraction from homework all last year! I wish it wasn't all freshman.. I would have definitely lived there again!!!
Krause Hall-3rd floor to be exact. I have lived in Krause for 2 years and I have to say it is the perfect mix of a study and social space. I'm the RA on the third floor and I love my residents. They are a lot of fun and there's never a dull moment with them. They are sometimes like small children but they are always there for each other and supportive and respectful of the people on the floor. It's a great place to live :)
Oh jeez...this is so difficult. Freshman year I loved Crowell and Walton. North is also cool...I love all three. This like neopolitan ice cream. you need all three flavors for it to work lol.

Smith Smith Smith! Smith was the by far my favorite! Don't get me wrong, I love North, but I miss the mix of people in Smith. Now the only people I really see are my suitemates. And having a room on the second floor, which is also the entrance floor is pretty sweet.

I am torn. I lived in Mohn Hall for both my freshman and sophomore years. I really enjoyed living in Mohn. A large group of us freshman really created a great bond in Mohn that has lasted all four years. Mohn is generally more quite, has central lounges for hanging out, computer and printer access, and a really nice kitchen area downstairs.

That said, I spent my Junior year as an RA in Walton Hall. I can honestly say that at points I wished that I had spent my freshman year in Walton. Those kids had a lot of fun together! It was certainly more noisy and less conducive to concentration, but Walton was a community.

My recommendation: if you struggle to be on task, try to live in Mohn. Living there will help. If you are looking to break out of your shell a bit in college, choose to live in a freshman only dorm. Either way, make sure you find the library and the activities fair early. Balance is the key.

I totally agree!  I loved Mohn, but when I moved to North, I met so many more people.  Once I found that balance, I was ready to move back to Mohn haha!

Walton Walton Walton!!!!! Walton is definitely by far the greatest residence hall on Albright's Campus.  It is the closest to everything, including the gym, campus center, dining hall, and academic buildings.  I lived in Walton my freshman year and want to go back.  Third floor represent!

Crowell hall! I dont think there is really an argument because Crowell is just the best. I enjoyed every moment I ever had in Crowell and its definitely a true freshman dorm. If you didn't live in Crowell as a freshman maybe you wouldn't understand this post but I'm almost positive you dreamt about living in Crowell because it is obviously the best.

Definitely the Woods! You get your own dish washer and oven/stove. Can't beat it! I love being able to cook whenever I want.
