Permalink Reply by Andrew Friedlund on January 24, 2012 at 4:36pm I am torn. I lived in Mohn Hall for both my freshman and sophomore years. I really enjoyed living in Mohn. A large group of us freshman really created a great bond in Mohn that has lasted all four years. Mohn is generally more quite, has central lounges for hanging out, computer and printer access, and a really nice kitchen area downstairs.
That said, I spent my Junior year as an RA in Walton Hall. I can honestly say that at points I wished that I had spent my freshman year in Walton. Those kids had a lot of fun together! It was certainly more noisy and less conducive to concentration, but Walton was a community.
My recommendation: if you struggle to be on task, try to live in Mohn. Living there will help. If you are looking to break out of your shell a bit in college, choose to live in a freshman only dorm. Either way, make sure you find the library and the activities fair early. Balance is the key.
Permalink Reply by Erin Kelleher on January 24, 2012 at 8:32pm I totally agree! I loved Mohn, but when I moved to North, I met so many more people. Once I found that balance, I was ready to move back to Mohn haha!
Permalink Reply by Matthew Bauer on January 29, 2012 at 4:04pm Walton Walton Walton!!!!! Walton is definitely by far the greatest residence hall on Albright's Campus. It is the closest to everything, including the gym, campus center, dining hall, and academic buildings. I lived in Walton my freshman year and want to go back. Third floor represent!
